Can you tell me something I always knew wrongly?

Author: Shubham S.M. Sharma Men don't think about sex every seven seconds Men think about sex plenty: according to popular myth, they think about sex every seven seconds. If you tell men that, they might even answer "That sounds about right." Unfortunately, the closest anyone can get to a real statistic is that men fantasize about sex at least once a day. Then again, maybe only 54% of men do that. Face-to-face sex surveys are unreliable in uncovering the true number, and its not clear if this number will ever be truly quantifiable. Either way, the seven seconds myth probably overstates the frequency of this event. Let’s start real 1.Humans did not evolve from chimpanzees Skeptics of evolution might say there's no way humans evolved from chimps -- and they would be right. A misunderstanding of evolutionary theory has given way to the idea that humans came from modern-day primates. Actually, both humans and chimps are said to have evolved from a co...

What secrets are you hiding from your parents?

Author: Shovan Chowdhury My mother always complains, “Why don't you save money for the future?” My father regularly tells me saving is one of the most effective weapons for middle-class families future uncertainties. I have had a job for over a year, but before the end of the month, my wallet is always empty—literally, no savings for the future. My parents think I waste money unnecessarily. But I don't smoke, neither consume alcohol nor buy expensive clothes. I also don't have any bad habit where I spend money irrelevantly. Last year, I visited many slums for official purposes. There I decided to help poor children personally after seeing their clumsy inhumane condition in slum areas.  So, I spend money from my monthly salary for poor children in help. A surprising fact is that most of the slum children want to go to school, and they love to draw pictures. I send money to them regularly for their admission and school fees. I also purchase stationery items (e.g...

What things should I never do?

Author: Adarsh Goswami Yesterday I was heading towards home(Jhansi) from Bengaluru which is more than a day's journey so out of boredom I started to talk to the sweepers and workers about their life. One thing is for sure if you just pass a smile to these people they are ready to tell their entire life to you without a hesitation. Such was the conversation between me and Hari (pantry guy) : I : Aap kaha se ho? I : So where are you from? Hari : Jharkhand se bhaiya. Aap kaha ja rhe hain? Hari : I am from Jharkhand bhaiya(brother). Where are you going ? I : Jhansi . Aur bataiye kaisa hai sab ? Kitna kama lete hain aap, kaam chal jata hai kya utne me? I : I am going to Jhansi. (Then a moment of silence and inorder to break that silence i asked..) So how is life ? Whatever you get as an income, is it sufficient for survival ?" Hari : Bhaiya 10k milta hai ,waise bhi bhut mushkil hai utne me rehna lekin 2-3k aane jaane me hi lag jata hai har mahine. Hari : Bha...

Author: Vidhi Khandel A beggar comes to your doorstep every day. On his first day, you offer him left over biryani(rice and chicken/eggs cooked in spices). You feel happy that you did charity. He feels happy too since he had been jumping door to door but never got to have something as tasty as biryani. Pic: Biryani cooked by me He visits you again next day. You offer him fried rice this time. He is fine since he had eaten fried rice only a few times before. This goes on for a few days. Now he stops visiting other houses, he knows that he has unlimited supply of tasty food from your house. He visits you again the next day, this time you offer him some leftover rice. He is slightly disappointed, he was expecting something great but that is all you had. You are annoyed too that begging has become an everyday thing for him. He visits you again and demands biryani this time since you have only been giving him plain rice lately, he liked biryani more. Now he has driven yo...
