Who are the top ten criminals in India?

Do you know who is going to become the first woman to be hanged in India?
It is such a rare case of extremely horrible crime that even the Indian President rejected their mercy petition. I am talking about the Gavit sisters - about to become the first women in India to be hanged.
So here goes the story! There are 3 women, a mother named Anjanabai Gavit, and her daughters, Seema Gavit and Renuka Shinde. It all started in 1990 when mother of these Gavit sisters used to frequently commit petty thefts.
One day, Renuka, the elder Gavit sister, tried to rob someone at a temple and got caught by people. She was with her 1 year old baby, Santosh. Crowd started questioning and abusing her. However, when she offered her child to them, created a scene and appealed to them by swearing on her son Santosh, the people let her go. This was the turning point when these women realised if there are children with them, it's easy to commit robbery.
Renuka’s husband also supported them. He used to rob vehicles from Pune and used these vehicles to travel to nearby cities like Mumbai, Kolhapur & Kalyan for robbery.
From 1990 to 1996 they kidnapped 43 children, used them for robbery and murdered them after accomplishing their motive. State police proved 13 children's murder in the court.
One day, Seema was caught red-handed while Renuka stood beside with her son, Santosh. When people began beating Seema, Renuka suddenly threw her son on the floor to distract crowd. Santosh started bleeding profusely but Gavit sisters used this opportunity to run away. They used a bleeding Santosh as a scapegoat, after picking three men's pocket. Anjanabai knew that Santosh was of no use ahead, so she murdered her grandson (Santosh) by smashing his head against an iron pole.
These women started kidnapping children (between the ages of 1 and 13) all over Maharashtra from 1990 to 96, used them for robbery and then cruelly killed all of them, usually by smashing against a wall. They made one rule of not becoming fond of any child. Not that they were mentally unstable, because they committed all murders very strategically, with a calm and composed mind.
In 1996, Anjanabai planned to murder her ex-husband's daughter (from his second marriage). But unfortunately for her, police arrested all three of them before they could execute such a plan. At the time of arrest, Renuka was 29 & Seema was 25. During the process of investigation, a lot of children's clothes and toys were found in their home which lead to further investigation.
Anjanabai was a cold-eyed criminal who had been arrested for 125 cases of petty theft including pick pocketing and snatching people’s gold chains from around their necks at railway stations, Anjana had become a thief after her first husband, a truck driver, deserted her after the birth of Renuka. Anjanabai died in prison an year after her arrest.
No one was ready to confess but eventually during police interrogation, Seema confessed all her crimes. This created a huge stir across our country, especially in Maharashtra. Police filed a case of murdering 13 children and made Kiran Shinde (Seema’s husband) an apology witness.
The Kolhapur Court gave a verdict to hang all three of them till death in 2001, which was upheld by the Supreme Court in 2014. Even the President refused their mercy petition in 2014.
Story Update: In 2017 both sisters made a bid to avoid their execution. Till date, they’ve not been hanged and I don’t know the reason why they haven’t been executed.
This was the biggest crime in Indian history according to a lot of people. For more on this story, kindly refer this detailed article.
