India: What are things that make Indians sad?

4 MINUTES THAT TOOK A LIFE
This Guy
His Name is Varun Subhash Chandran
Here’s his story
He was 28 Year old living in Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi
He came to clear UPSC exam or as people say “To Become IAS” and rented a room in Rajendra Nagar, He came from Karnataka
His Dad was a retired Goverment Officer
It was it last attempt in 2018 and here’s how it goes
He left from his house to go to his Exam centre and got to the exam centre but he realised it was wrong exam centre then he found the right exam centre Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya in Paharganj and reached there at 9.24 am while the time for entry was 9.20 am, he was shattered and came to his room and hanged himself.
He was found hanging by his friend and police were called.
He left suicide note
To his family and friends - “The more you try to forget me, more happy my soul will be.”
To UPSC - “The rules are fine but there should be some leniency.”
Just 4 minutes for a life that cannot be resurrected.
It’s not just the problem with UPSC it’s problem with all examinations that “No entry after specified time” in my opinion there should be Extra 10 Mins for entry because many students come from very far distances and due to many reasons they are just 1–2 minutes late and are denied entry.
Now, if Varun would’ve been alive he would’ve answered on quora for question like “ How was your UPSC Prelim 2018”
Many students are forced, many don’t clear the exam, many are late for the exam, yet Quora is filled with answers of only fruitful students…..

This type of incidents saddens me. The competitive exams are just a bunch of rat races that seemingly define the quality of life those students will have in the future. Its like if you can snag one of these oh-so-lucky seats, you're life will be all set for you. We all know an exam or your designation doesn't define your life; there is so much more. I also think exams should be more lenient. Surely, a person's life is more valuable than another's UPSC trophy.
