Which was the most emotional moment in your school life?

There was a Boy in my class Dhruv (name changed), He was a very smart student, he used to get full marks in physics and mathematics. Well, another side he had a KTM bike too, had the most beautiful girl Kavya (name changed) as his girlfriend.
I used to envy him, his life was just perfect, teachers used to say that he’ll definitely get into IIT Bombay, he did parties, was a spendthrift guy, still he was amazing in studies.
Man! who scores 100/100 in Physics, chemistry and maths altogether. He literally got these marks in the pre-board exams.
He and his girlfriend used to sit on parallel benches, One day they got into some quarrel, out of rage Kavya took a compass and smashed her nerve of left hand, The matter went to the principal, She warned them both for not doing such activities in school, as the boards were near, she didn’t suspend them.
The quarrel increased, and after a couple of days Kavya called for a break-up. Dhruv used to love her a lot, teenage love is too dangerous, he was completely insane for Kavya, later in the night he called her for one last chance, to which she denied.
“I’ll die without you Kavya” Dhruv was in tears, the pain of first love going away is impeccable.
Kavya was angry with him, out of the exasperation she said “If you can’t live without me then die”
She switched off her mobile phone and slept.
On the other hand, Dhruv was suffering from the abandoned agony, he took a Sulfa-drug (used to kill weeds in wheat farm) and ate it. He waited for sometime and the next moment he couldn’t resist the pain of his gut. His chest was burning and heart was pounding hard, to save himself he ran to his father.
“Babu mane bachale”
“Save me dad”
He screamed with pain, After seeing his situation he realized that it was late, still, he called his brother for a car and prepared for the hospital.
Dhruv was crying in pain “Save me Dad, I want to live”
His dad was wise, holding his breath inside, he held his son, It was a very hard situation for him, holding his last soul of happiness in his hand and seeing his body burning in pain is irresistible. He realized that he was going away.
“Don’t worry my son, hold this pain for a while, after sometime you’ll be able to sleep peacefully, nobody will disturb you, hold it for sometime, you’ll win over this”
After listening his word Dhruv took his last breath and died in his dad’s arms.
He used to call me his sister, we never shared any memorable moments together, he was more of stranger to me, we hardly even talked, but whenever he used to address me he used to address me saying Tiksha behan, next day when the news was out, everybody was sad, I was sad too, 2 minutes of silence for him in the assembly seemed too short.
Everybody was like “He was made for IITB”
Later that evening, I came home closed my door and cried for him. He was just a classmate, still I cried, I cried for his family, his father, and him.
Kavya too cried a lot, she didn’t come school for many days, skipped the last pre-boards and slowly-slowly everything came back to normal.
Some days ago I saw Kavya’s Instagram account, I saw a picture like this captioned “True love is usually the most inconvenient kind”
She moved on in her life, new beginnings for her, But the emptiness which Dhruv’s Dad is going through is irreplaceable.
P.S- In Haryanvi language, we address dad as Babu.

A truly sad and heart-breaking story. This type of incidents are much common in India. Today's kids take extreme steps just for the sake of so-called "true love". We must learn to value ourselves first. Or else, we can never value other people in our loves. The boy lost his life in vain. It hardly affected the way of life; at the end, she got another boyfriend and forgot about the one who gave his life for her. A sad waste of a beautiful life.
